What events caused the tide of war to turn against japan?
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]
Many reasons... First of all they should not have involved the United States of America, even Hitler knew that to win a war, you don't involve the Americans, you can even find quotes of Hitler talking about that. Even the Admiral in charge of the attack on Pearl Harbor knew it was a horrible idea "I can run wild for six months … after that, I have no expectation of success".

Other than involving the Americans, the Japanese should've attack up into the USSR (Russia) opening up a new front and forcing the Russians to move man power to their east.

Another is that Japan often ignored their German allies when they advised against certain campaigns and attacks, which were strategically horrid ideas.

Also, nukes.

How did the formation of the United States contribute to the Enlightenment in
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

C. It allowed Europeans to see the philosophies they had been

discussing put into practice

Explanation:

Since the very first news of the American Revolution, European reformers and future revolutionaries have begun to look closely at its example. The texts of the Declaration of Independence and Constitutions (USA and individual states) influenced the documents of the French Revolution and were included in the ‘compulsory/ reading of European radicals.

The publication of Alexis de Tocqueville's book Democracy in America in 1835 and its immense popularity in Europe was the first sign that the American example was beginning to play a role in political debate. The European revolutions of 1848–1849, dubbed Spring of Nations, marked a turning point in the development of ideas about the place of the United States in world politics.

On the whole, the “young democrats” in Europe formed the two prevailing images of the American revolution: as a struggle for national identity and a “universalist” revolution, “in the interests of all mankind” - a world-wide revolution that overthrew the monarchy and established a republican form of government that rooted the sovereignty of the people.

Name three ways that Oklahoma’s centennial was celebrated
emmainna [20.7K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The three ways in that Oklahoma’s centennial was celebrated were through ceremonies, parades, and fireworks.

It was a big moment in the history of the state of Oklahoma. So the occasion invited to big celebrations in the entire state.

The state government, with the support of private companies, organized many activities to celebrate the important date. There were concerts, parades, and dedication of projects in different locations. For instance, there were restorations of old buildings, historic sites, the creation of new monuments, and a brand new dome for the capitol in Oklahoma City. Some people questioned these improvements because they were expensive: approximately 30 million. Money that could have been used to other priorities and necessities.
