Given:

A figure of a triangular prism.

Height of triangular base = 9\dfrac{2}{3} yd

Base of triangular base = 4 yd

Height of prism = 4 yd.

To find:

The volume of the triangular prism.

Solution:

Volume of a triangular prism is:

V=Bh              ...(i)

Where, B is the area of triangular base and h is the height of the prism.

Area of triangular base is:

B=\dfrac{1}{2}\times base\times height

B=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 4\times 9\dfrac{2}{3}

B=2\times \dfrac{29}{3}

B=\dfrac{58}{3}

Putting B=\dfrac{58}{3} and h=4 in (i), we get

V=\dfrac{58}{3}\times 4

V=\dfrac{232}{3}

V=77.33...

V\approx 77.3

The volume of the triangular prism is 77.3 cubic yards. Therefore, the correct option is 2.

Applying Inverse Properties In Exercise,apply the inverse properties of logarithmic and exponential functions to simplify the ex
Kryger [21]

Answer:

x^3-8

Step-by-step explanation:

apply the inverse properties of logarithmic and exponential functions to simplify

- 8 + e^{lnx^3}

Inverse property of log says that

e^{ln(x)=x

we apply this property in our problem. ln has same base 'e' . so ln and e gets cancelled

e^{ln(x^3)=x^3

- 8 + e^{lnx^3}

- 8 +x^3

x^3-8

A crew will arrive in one week and begin filming a city for a movie. The mayor is desperate to clean the city streets before fil
Reptile [31]

Step-by-step explanation:

1 week = 7 days of 24 hours each = 7×24 = 168 hours.

the first team can do 1/700 of the total work per hour.

the second team can do 1/600 if the total work per hour.

if they work together, then 1/700 + 1/600 of the total work can be done per hour.

to add these 2 fractions we need to bring them to the same denominator. and that would be 4200 (LCM of 700 and 600).

1/700 + 1/600 = 6/4200 + 7/4200 = 13/4200

so, together, they can do 13/4200 if the total job in 1 hour.

how many hours will they need together to finish the job ?

well, how often does 13 fit into 4200 (as 4200/4200 is the complete job) ?

4200 / 13 = 323.0769231... hours

so, it will still take a little bit over 323 hours to clean all the streets.

but there are only 168 hours until the film crew starts.

so, no, there is not enough time.
