Answer: The correct option is D. Much of the coastal Florida will be underwater considering the pattern of ocean conveyor belt setting and geographical location.

The ocean circulation conveyor belt or the thermohaline circulation of sea water circulates massive water currents from northern to southern oceans and again back. The water from tropical Atlantic is warm and moves towards the poles supplying heat to atmosphere which drops the temperature a little in high altitudes. The warm water on releasing heat becomes denser and sinks down. This closed circulation loop makes the cold water move towards the tropical region at the deeper levels.

Atlantic acts as an engine for the entire planet’s conveyor belt of the ocean current, the cold water which is sinking up in North Atlantic drives current in the Pacific ocean as well .

On which of these issues is public opinion less likely to affect policymaking?
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Public opinion is less likely to affect fiscal policy making.

There are a number of variables that affect the formulation of a country's fiscal policies, the most important being domestic demand and economic growth.

Public opinion is therefore not a relevant factor that affects the formulation of these policies, it affects more social and environmental policies, for example.

For a better understanding of fiscal policy, we must understand the concept of taxation.

Taxation is a financial obligation on individuals and organizations, whose main objective is to improve the economy and public services so that there is a fairer and more equal society.

Some examples of taxes:

  • Income tax
  • payroll tax
  • sales tax

Therefore, public opinion is more likely to affect the formulation of social and environmental policies than fiscal policies. Because it is capable of instituting new ideas and social awareness that can directly affect legislation.

Which type of mountain is formed due to the collision of two different kinds<br> of plates
Dafna1 [17]
Fold mountains
When plates collide or undergo subduction (that is – ride one over another), the plates tend to buckle and fold, forming mountains. Most of the major continental mountain ranges are associated with thrusting and folding or orogenesis. Examples are the Balkan Mountains, the Jura and the Zagros mountains.

1. In addition to mechanical and chemical digestion of food, the stomach's other major function is: carbohydrate and nucleic aci
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer: Food storage

Explanation:

Stomach is a small pouch like structure which has the ability to store food temporarily. The storage of the food temporarily takes place in the stomach. The food that we eat reaches to the stomach by the help of food pipe.

Here, the food is stored until it is completely broken down into simpler form and enzymes act on them.

The food is then absorbed in the small intestine. But before this food is temporarily stored in the stomach where all the digestive juices and enzymes come to act on the food.

What is the part of the cell cycle process by which chromosomes in a cell nucleus are separated into two identical sets of chrom
Damm [24]

Answer:

Mitotic phase

Explanation:

Cell cycle is composed of interphase and mitotic phase. Interphase is aphase of cell preparation. It is subdivided into:

  • G1 (gap 1 phase)-the cell grows and becomes larger
  • S phase- replication of DNA, duplication of centrosomes
  • G2 (gap 2 phase)-proteins and oranelles are made

Mitotic phase is phase of cell division, chromosomes are separated, daughter cell get identical sets of chromosomes. It is followed by cytokinesis-separation of cytoplasm. Stages of mitosis are:

  • prophase-condensation of chromatin into chromosomes,  the nuclear envelope breaks down, mitotic spindle formation
  • metaphase-the chromosmes line up (metaphase plate)
  • anaphase-the siste chromatides move toward opposite cell poles
  • telophase-the nuclear envelope forms again, cell division is almost complete
