A = base of parallelogram x height of parallelogram

= 14 x 12 = 168 sq feet

Break parallelogram down into figures

There would be 2 triangles and 1 square

Area of 1 triangle = 0.5 (3 x 12) = 18

Area for 2 triangles = 2 x 18 = 36

Area of square = base x height

= 11 x 12 = 132

132 + 36 = 168
