Given:

The graph of a line.

To find:

The equation of line and values of m and b. Check whether it is proportional or linear.

Solution:

From the given graph it is clear that, the line passes through (0,4) and (2,0). So, the equation of line is

y-y_1=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}(x-x_1)

y-4=\dfrac{0-4}{2-0}(x-0)

y-4=\dfrac{-4}{2}(x)

y-4=-2x

Adding 4 on both sides, we get

y=-2x+4

On comparing this equation with slope intercept form, i.e., y=mx+b, we get

m=-2\text{ and }b=4

All lines are linear. If a line passes through the origin then it is proportional.

From the given graph it is clear that the line is not passing through the origin, i.e., (0,0). So, it is linear not proportional.

Therefore, the value of m is -2 and the value of b is 4. The equation of line is y=-2x+4.  The line linear not proportional because it does not passing through the origin.

What is the y=Mx+b of this equation
Monica [59]

Answer:

y =  - 6x - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

The y-intercept is where the line itersects the y-axis, which is the dark vertical line. This is -8 represented as the constant in the equation.

To find the slope, find the rise over run. Every time the line goes over 1 it goes down 6, so the slope would be -6.

Sqrt45a^5 simplified
Anestetic [448]

\sqrt{45a^5}

[scomposition of 45]

\sqrt{9*5*a^5}

[9 = 3^2, must use this notation (not 3*3)]

\sqrt{3^2*5*a^5}

[We appy one of the proprieties of square roots]

\sqrt{3^2}* \sqrt{5}*\sqrt{a^5}

[now we semplify: we must take out as much as possible all the elements under roots]

[to do that, we must divide the esponent of each element with the index of square roots (2)]

so

\sqrt{3^2}, 2/2 = 1

\sqrt{5}, 1/2 = 0 with 1 of rest

\sqrt{a^5}, 5/2 = 2 with 1 rest

[well, after do that, we can take out the elements under tbhe square roots!]

The quotient of each division is the esponent of the element out of the root

The rest of each division is the esponent of the element under the root

so:

3^{1} (quotient = 1, see the first operation) * \sqrt{5} (rest = 1, see the second operation) * a^{2} (quotient = 2, see the third operation) * \sqrt{a^1} (rest = 1, see the third operation)

The final result is:

3 (=3^1) * a² * √5 * √a

3a²√5a

It's more intuitive and easy, but the explanation (necessary) is very long. If you have other questions, ask me here in the comments! Also sorry for my english, not so good!

Circle o has a circumfrence of approximately 44 in. what is the approximate lenght of the diameter d?
igomit [66]

Answer:

14 inch

Step-by-step explanation:

formula for circumference:

2(pi)r @ (pi)d

*where: r = radius

d= diameter

pi used = 22/7

22/7 x d = 44

d= 44/ (22/7)
