x =  - 10 \\

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt{20 - 8x}  =  \times

20 - 8x = {x}^{2}

{x}^{2}  + 8x - 20 = 0

x =  - 10

x = 2

The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180, so the equation will be :
2k+k+45= 180
add similar variables
3k+45=180
3k=135 (divide each side by 3)
k= 45
So 2k equals= 90
k=25
This is right angle triangle for your info!

The teacher asked 4 students to measure 4 different objects. The table shown represents their measurements. Which student had th
Maru [420]

Student 4 has the largest percent error.

Step-by-step explanation:

The percent error of a measurement is given by

p=\frac{|x-x_{true}|}{x_{true}}\cdot 100

where

x is the value of the measurement

x_{true} is the actual value

For student 1:

x=49\\x_{true}=50

Percent error:

p=\frac{|49-50|}{50}\cdot 100=0.02\cdot 100=2\%

For student 2:

x=25.5\\x_{true}=25

Percent error:

p=\frac{|25.5-25|}{25.5}\cdot 100=0.0196\cdot 100 = 1.96\%

For student 3:

x=7.5\\x_{true}=8

Percent error:

p=\frac{|7.5-8|}{8}\cdot 100=0.0625\cdot 100 = 6.25\%

For student 4:

x=2.1\\x_{true}=1.6

Percent error:

p=\frac{|2.1-1.6|}{1.6}\cdot 100=0.3125\cdot 100 = 31.25\%

So, student 4 has the largest percent error.

HELP!!!
Jobisdone [24]

Answer:

16 is the number of quarters and 14 is the number of dimes

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

1\ dime=\$0.10

1\ quarter=\$0.25

Let

x-----> the number of dimes

y------> the number of quarters

we know that

0.10x+0.25y=5.40 -----> equation A

x+y=30 ----Isolate the variable y

y=30-x -----> equation B

Substitute equation B in equation A

0.10x+0.25(30-x)=5.40

0.10x+7.5-0.25x=5.40

0.25x-0.10x=7.5-5.40

0.15x=2.1

x=14\ dimes

Find the value of y

y=30-x

y=30-14=16\ quarters

therefore

16 is the number of quarters and 14 is the number of dimes

What are the partial products for 3.2 x 0.6?
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

This is a complete lesson with instruction & exercises for 5th grade about multiplying decimals by decimals. The interpretation for multiplying a decimal by a decimal is to think of it as taking a fractional part of a decimal number (the symbol × translates to "of"). The lesson compares multiplication by a decimal to scaling & shrinking a stick. Lastly, it shows the common shortcut to decimal multiplication (multiply as if there were no decimal points; the answer has as many decimals as the factors have in total.)

In the video below, I explain the rule for multiplying decimals (put as many decimal digits in the answer as there are in the factors.) I explain where this rule comes from, using fraction multiplication. The lesson continues below the video.
