- since the triangles are congruent, their side lengths and angles should be congruent.

- set them equal to each other.

3x - 5 = x + 6

2x - 5 = 6

2x = 11

x = 5.5

- now plug in.

AC = 3(5.5) - 5

AC = 11.5

so, option C.
