Total distance ran by Leonardo in 5 training sessions = 25 miles
Then
Total distance ran by Leonardo in 1 training session = (25/5) miles
                                                                                   = 5 miles
Total distance ran by Leonardo today was half the distance he actually covers in every training session.
So
Total distance ran by Leonardo today = (5/2) miles
                                                             = 2.5 miles
So Leonardo ran for a distance of 2.5 miles today. <span>It is actually very important to read the question carefully and then the answering the question becomes easy.

How to solve probability
bekas [8.4K]
Answer :

The change of occurring an event is known as Probability.

You can solve probability questions by following some formulas

Conditional probability- P ( A l B ) = P ( A ^ B ) / P (B)

Bayes - P (A l B) = P (B l A)

P (A) / P (B)

Complementary- P(A^c) + P (A) = 1

An equation is shown below:

You haven't shared the instructions; please do so now.
If you're supposed to find x that satisfies this equation, this is a relatively challenging problem.

One way to approximate the solution would be to plot y = (3/2)x + 7/2  and  y=2^x carefully on the same set of axes.  Try to read off the x- and y-values at the single point where these two graphs intersect.   (x, y) would be your solution.

I did this graphically on my calculator and found that the point of intersection is (3,8).

To check, determine whether y = 2^x is true when x = 3 and y = 8, and also check whether   y = (3/2)x + 7/2   is true for the same x and y values.
