Anticodons are a three-nucleotide sequence of carrier RNA that binds to the messenger RNA codon, determining the binding of an amino acid during protein synthesis. Anticodon is composed of a sequence of nitrogenous bases complementary to the sequence of codon nitrogenous bases, allowing binding between them. For this reason, we can say that if the codon has the ATC base sequence, the anticodon has the complementary UAG base sequence.
