Greg's distance is 3 times than Jed. so, 25 yards * 3 = 75 yards. And RJ ran only 0.1 times than Greg (75 yards). So, it should be 7.5 yards

Can Someone Please Help Me With This Question. I'll post a picture of the question
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

y-7=3(x-9)

Step-by-step explanation:

The form of equation of line given in the problem is the point-slope form of a line. That is given by:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

We need y_1 and m (denoted by boxes)

y_1 is the y coordinate of the first set of points.

The first coordinate pair is (9,7), so y_1  would be 7

y_1=7

Now, the slope (m).

It has formula

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

So, x_1 = 9

y_1 = 7

x_2 = 4

y_2 = -8

Substituting, we get the slope to be:

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\\m=\frac{-8-7}{4-9}\\m=\frac{-15}{-5}\\m=3

Hence, the equation of the line in point-slope is:

y-7=3(x-9)

Select all the distribution shapes for which it is most often appropriate to use the mean .
goblinko [34]

The distribution shape that tells us for which it is best to use the mean is the skewed.

<h3>What is the mean?</h3>

This is the term that is used to refer to the average score that exists in a data set.

In the question, these are the reasons why the other options are not correct

When we say Bimodal we are talking about the 2 modes that are in a symmetric distribution. This has nothing to do with the mean

The bell shape has to do with how the normal distribution is when it is drawn. It would create a bell shape hence the mean is not useful.

symmetric has to do with the fact that there are mirror images when the vertical line is drawn in the distribution.

Uniformed shapes tells us that the classes are made up of the same frequency all through.

The skewed shape is what tells us if the median is more or if it is less.

Hence we have the answer that the distribution shapes for which it is most often appropriate to use the mean is the skewed.

Find the missing side lengths and leave the radicals in the simplest form.
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

y=\frac{9\sqrt{2} }{2} and x=9

Step-by-step explanation:

We can see that the triangle is a special triangle or isosceles triangle meaning that two angles/ two sides are the same.

y=\frac{9\sqrt{2} }{2}

To solve for x use Pythagorean Theorem.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

\frac{9\sqrt{2} }{2} +\frac{9\sqrt{2} }{2}=x^2\\\\\frac{81}{2} +\frac{81}{2} =x^2\\\\\frac{162}{2} =x^2\\\\x=\sqrt{\frac{162}{2} } =\sqrt{81} =9\\\\x=9
