Of course. Pollutant in the air that result from combustion of fuels or as byproducts of reactions include such common things as Ozone, Particulate Matter, Nitrogen and Sulfur Dioxide, Lead, and Carbon Monoxide. These pollutants can literally choke up the air in some area, and cause extreme exacerbation of Chronic Intermittent Bronchospasms (Asthma) and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases), which effect quality of breathing, sometimes to the point of a potentially lethal flare up.

Additionally a predisposition toward disease and chemical reactions to the body can lead to Pneumonia in both an infectious and chemical capacity, Lastly particulate matter especially can flare up Allergies.

Ep-37 what type of boating emergency causes the most fatalities?
Ivanshal [37]
The answer is capsizing. Most boating mortalities don't have anything to do with bad weather or dangerous sea conditions. They normally occur in smaller, open boats on inland waters during daylight hours when weather and visibility are good, the winds are light, and the water is calm. But in spite of these perfect conditions, passengers fall overboard and many boats capsize, causing over half of all boating fatalities.
