A sudden, undesired or uncontrollable change in your personality may be the sign of a serious condition. Several mental illnesses can lead to personality changes. That includes anxiety disorders, bpd (borderline personality disorder), dementia, and schizophrenia and many more. if the worker gets checked out for mental illnesses and has some type of reasoning and makes sure it wont happen again then i would say they could stay, if they stole it for no reason then no.
