Kite WXYZ is graphed on a coordinate plane. What is the approximate perimeter of the kite? Round to the nearest tenth. 10.6 unit
Archy [21]

<u>Answer-</u>

<em>Perimeter of the kite is </em><em>16.2 units</em>

<u>Solution-</u>

As WXYZ is a kite, so two disjoint pairs of consecutive sides are congruent, i.e WX=XY and WZ=ZY

So, perimeter of the kite WXYZ is,

=2(\overline{WX}+\overline{WZ})

And

\overline{WX}=\sqrt{(1-3)^2+(1-4)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{4+9}=\sqrt{13}

\overline{WZ}=\sqrt{(1-3)^2+(1+3)^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(4)^2}=\sqrt{4+16}=\sqrt{20}

So, perimeter will be,

P=2(\sqrt{13}+\sqrt{20})=16.15\approx 16.2\ units

More help is appreciated:))
Lera25 [3.4K]

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to translate all the points to the right 3 and up 6

Therefore, you are going to use this formula:

(x,y) ⇾ (x + 3, y + 6)

This is the same format as the previous problem, if you have noticed.

Using this, plug in each coordinate, starting with  P (5, -1)

(5, -1) ⇾ ( 5 + 3, -1 + 6)

(5, -1) ⇾ ( 8, 5 )

P^{1} = (8, 5)

Now point Q, (0, 8)

(0, 8) ⇾ (0 + 3, 8 + 6)

(0, 8) ⇾ ( 3, 14 )

Q^{1} = (3, 14)

And last but not least, the point R, (7, 5)

(7, 5) ⇾ (7 + 3, 5 + 6)

(7, 5) ⇾ ( 10, 11 )

R^{1} = (10, 11)

Therefore, P^{1} = (8, 5), Q^{1} = (3, 14), R^{1} = (10, 11) is your answer. This is the 4th option or D.

Hope this for you to understand this a bit more! =D

Find the measure of the indicated angle.<br> Please can you help?<br> I need to show work.
777dan777 [17]

Answer:

64°

Step-by-step explanation:

∠RQP = 46°

∠PRQ = 180° - 110° = 70°

∠PRQ + ∠RQP + <u>∠RPQ</u> = 180°

70° + 46 + <u>∠RPQ</u> = 180°

116° + <u>∠RPQ</u> = 180°

Find <u>∠RPQ</u>

<u>∠RPQ</u> = 180° - 116° = 64°
