Answer:

The Pythagorean theorem used in right-angled (equilateral) triangles is a relationship between the sides of a right-angled triangle, where the sum of the square of the legs is equal to the square of the hypotenuse.

If a and b are legs, and c is the hypotenuse, then

a2 + b2 = c2.

Because the triangle is right angled, there is no greater side length in the triangle, so an unlimited number of Pythagorean positions can be produced by flipping the sides.

If y varies directly with x when y=8,x=20 find the value of x when y=42
Alecsey [184]

The value of x is 105 when y=42

Step-by-step explanation:

A direct proportion means that the change in one quantity will also cause the change in other quantity

Given

y varies directly with x

x ∝ y

when the proportionality symbol is removed a proportionality constant is introduced

x=ky\\k=\frac{x}{y}\\Putting\ y=8\ and\ x=20\\k=\frac{20}{8}\\k = \frac{5}{2}\\So,\ the\ equation\ will\ be\\x=\frac{5}{2}y\\Putting\ y=42\\x=\frac{5}{2}*42\\x=5*21\\x= 105

The value of x is 105 when y=42

Can anyone explain how to expand and simplify 3(2a+5) +5 (a-2)
Step2247 [10]
Take the first bracket and it's multiplication, 3(2a+5)
You expand my multiplying everything inside the bracket by the number outside.
3*2a = 6a
3*5 = 15
Then multiply out the second bracket, 5(a-2)
5*a = 5a
5*-2 = -10
So now you have 6a + 15 + 5a - 10
Simplify it by collecting like terms, and you have:
11a + 5
And that's the answer, hope I helped!

Are these correct? ILL MARK YOU BRAINLIEST
Oxana [17]

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Cos 300 = Cos (360 - 60) = Cos 60    {Cos 360 - theta = Cos theta}

                                              = 1/2

Sin 300 = Sin (360 - 60) = -Sin 60 = \frac{-\sqrt{3}}{2}

3) 3π/4 = 3*180/4 = 135

Cos 135 = Cos (90 + 45) = -Cos 45 = \frac{-\sqrt{2}}{2}

Sin 135 = Sin (90 + 45) = Sin 45 = \frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}
