Answer:

Al₂(CO₃)₃ → Al₂O₃ + 3CO₂     Decomposition

Explanation:

This reaction is a decomposition type, we make two compounds from one. This is the case where a single substance breaks down, producing two or more different substances. In orden to balance it we need to count.

We have 2 Al in both sides so at least it is balanced, but we have 3 C in reactant side from the carbonate and we may need 3 C in product side.

In conclussion we have 2 Al and 3 C on both sides. In reactant side we count 9 O so in product side we have 6 O from the Co₂ and 3 O from the aluminum oxide. Finally the reaction is balanced

How do scientific models help us teach students about systems?
kotegsom [21]

D)By increasing or decreasing the size of systems that are difficult to study we make it easier for students to see how they work and therefore make it easier for them to learn.

Explanation:

Scientific models makes it easier to teach students about systems because their sizes can be adjusted and this makes it easier for students to see how they work.

A model is a simplification of the real work. It takes a part of the real world and studies it.

Models are highly desired in teaching and understanding very complex systems.

  • Since a tutor owns the control of the model, they can make adjustments on them to a scale that is convenient to work with.
  • Also, a part of a system can be studied one at a time making it simple for students to comprehend.

Is it true that an atom has 3 subatomic particles with a negative nucleus and the neutrons outside the the nucleus
Nostrana [21]

Answer: atoms do have 3 subatomic particles but the nucleus is positive and the nucleus consists of protons and neutrons. Its positive because neutrons have no charge and protons have a positive charge. There are only electrons on the shells so no neutrons or protons on the shells

A sample of propane (C3H8) has a mass of 0. 47 g. The sample is burned in a bomb calorimeter that has a mass of 1. 350 kg and a
Nady [450]

The amount of heat released by the sample has been 22.54 kJ. Thus, option C is correct.

The specific heat has been defined as the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of substance by 1 degree Celsius.

The specific heat has been expressed as:

q=mc\Delta T

<h3 /><h3>Computation for the heat absorbed</h3>

The iron and calorimeter are in side the closed system. Thus, the energy released by the sample, has been equivalent to the energy absorbed by the calorimeter.

q_{released}=q_{absorbed}\\&#10;q_{released}=m_{calorimeter}\;c_{calorimeter}\;\Delta T

The given mass of calorimeter has been, m_{calorimeter}=1350\;\rm g

The specific heat of the calorimeter has been, c_{calorimeter}=5.82\;\rm J/g^\circ C

The change in temperature of the calorimeter has been, \Delta T=2.87^\circ \rm C

Substituting the values for heat released:

q_{released}= 1350\;\text g\;\times\;5.82\;\text J/\text g^\circ \text C\;\times\;2.87^\circ \text C\\&#10;q_{released}=22,549.5\;\text J\\&#10;q_{released}}=22.54\;\rm kJ

The amount of heat released by the sample has been 22.54 kJ. Thus, option C is correct.
