When a doctor observes the symptom of a patient and tells
that he or she is likely having a flu, the reasoning she or he used is likely
from the effect to cause. The reasoning from effect to cause is having to check
on the cause in order to produce or come out with the effect in which the
symptoms is the cause of the flu, in which the flu is the effect.
A) A textbook definition would be that genetic drift is: a random change in allele frequency caused by a series of chance occurences that cause an allele to become more or less common in a population. In layman's terms, this means that genetic drift happens when luck makes the genetic pool of the population to deviate from what is expected.
B) The cause for this genetic drift is the aformentioned couple. Because amish communities are small and they select partners from their community, having even a couple of carriers of alleles in a community can make the allele freuency much larger than expected; for example, if the community was 100 persons, the percentage would be in the order of 1%, still much larger than the general population. Thus, the cause here is that a small population had a couple of carriers.
C) Sexual reproduction leads to a mixing of alleles from both mother and father and helps diversity. When a population is isolated, the gene pool is fixed and no new genes can come in, reducing diversity. Also some people that have an allele might die, hitting diversity even more. Finally, having a small population creates a strong pressure in some circumstances that leads to elimination of some traits and diversity.
Answer:
The protein would be incorrect and the protein might not function.
Explanation:
We know that introns carry information but introns not only carry information to build a protein. They have to be removed for the mRNA to encode a protein with the right protein sequence.
If the spliceosome fails to remove an intron, an mRNA with extra "junk" will be created in it. As a result, a wrong protein will be created during translation.
If a wrong protein sequence is created, it will hamper the whole translation process. The protein won't function properly.
Meiosis plays a role in reproduction.
Multi cellular colonies of plant cells adhere to each other primarily by cell walls, whereas multi cellular colonies of animal cells are typically held together by proteins
<h3><u>
Explanation:</u></h3>
The organisms that contains more than single single are called as multi cellular organisms. They are just opposite to the uni cellular organisms. When many identical organisms groups to form together it is called as colonies.
It will be difficult in removing any organisms that forms colonies with the multi cellular organisms. The multi cellular organism of the cells in the plants are bonded to each other with the help of the cells walls. In animal cells these are bounded together with the help of the proteins.
