Ratio of red marbles to blue marbles is 2:3. If there are 6 red marbles, how many blue marbles are there
miskamm [114]

Answer:

6:9

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets assume the relationship between the amount of blue and red marbles are proportional. If there are 6 red marbles , then we would need need to find out how much times you multiplied 2 by to get.

6/2 is 3, which means that you multiplied the red marbles by 3 to get 6 of them.

Since the relationship between red and blue marbles is equivalent, we just need to multiply the blue marbles by 3 as well, to even it out.

3x3=9

There are 9 blue marbles if there are 6 red marbles.

A northern elephant seal made 60 dives in 12 hours at this rate how many dives did the sea turtle make in seven hours
Galina-37 [17]
The answer is 56! I used a double number line! You have to get the unit rate first! Unit means 1, you have to get from 12 to 1! I did 12 divided by 12, and got 1! Whatever I do to the bottom I do to the top. So I divided 60 by 12 and got 5. Now we have to get to seven, so I multiplied 1 x 7 and got 7. Than I multiplied 5 times 7 and got 56! I hope I helped! :D

The number 1.255 is an example of a decimal number
vodomira [7]

Answer: The statement is - True.

Step-by-step explanation:

The decimal numbers are numbers that have a decimal point in them. In this case, 1.255, we have a decimal point between the number 1 and the rest of the numbers. The number 1 is an ordinary full number, while the 0.255 is part of a number, thus the decimal.

The numbers in the decimal all have their own specific meaning. The first number is part of the tenths, in this case that is the number 2. The second number is part of the hundreds, in this case it is the number 5. The second number is part of the thousands, in this it is the last number, also number 5.
