8. Determine whether the triangles are similar. If so, write a similarity
AlekseyPX

Answer:

Option (4)

Step-by-step explanation:

If ΔLMN is similar to ΔQRS,

Their corresponding sides will be proportional.

\frac{LM}{QR}= \frac{MN}{RS}= \frac{LN}{QS}

\frac{5}{6}= \frac{3}{4}= \frac{6}{7}

But it's not true.

Therefore, the given triangles ΔLMN and ΔQRS are not similar.

Option (4) will be the answer.

Which number produces an irrational number when multiplied by 1/2
Ludmilka [50]

Quick answer

Any irrational number. I can't think of any exception to this statement.

sqrt(5) is irrational.  1/2 * sqrt(5) is still irrational.

-sqrt(5) is irrational. -1/2 * sqrt(5) is still irrational

2 + sqrt(5) is irrational. Multiplying this by 1/2 is still irrational.

1/2(2 + sqrt(5) = 1 + 1/2 * sqrt(5) ) is irrational.

Conclusion

There are no exceptions to this.  All irrational numbers produce irrationals when multiplied by 1/2

Any whole number, fraction, or decimal that ends or repeats is a rational number. An irrational number is any number that cannot be converted into a fraction so it does not meet the definition of a rational number.
