The basic equation of frequency and speed are

velocity = frequency x wavelength

When both waves' velocities are the same then

v1 = v2

f-1 x wavelenght-1 = f-2 x wavelenght-2

Now increasing frequency of wave X will increase the wavelength of wave Y for the equations to be equal.
