The French and Indian War changed North Americas relationship with the British, because even after all their help with Britain with the war the relationship between the two would become severed due to the fact Britain began to start taxing the colonies because of how in debt they were after the war. Not only this, but the Royal Proclamation of 1763 kept the American colonies from moving west over the mountains. If they did, it was British belief that it would be hard to regulate trade and taxes, and that their resources would be too thin.
