What molecule in the equation is a hydrcarbon?
Gwar [14]
Alkanes are linear, or branching, compounds that are made of varying numbers of carbon atoms that are all saturated with hydrogen atoms. The formula for an alkane is CnH(2n+2). This means that the number of hydrogen atoms equals twice the number of carbon atoms, plus two. Methane is the simplest hydrocarbon possible.

Substandard medical care is an ""intervening act"" that relieves a defendant from homicide liability if the medical care is_____
DerKrebs [107]

Answer:

Grossly negligent and intentional mistreatment.

Explanation:

Substandard medical care may be defined as a type of the malpractice medical case. This is the level and type of the health care professional that provide medical assistance in the same community.

The medical care can be intentionally mistreated in which the professional shows negligence in the  patient's treatment. This also relieves the homicide liability and defendant in the intervening act.

Thus, the answer is Grossly negligent and intentional mistreatment.

Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a serious condition caused by a recessive allele of a gene on the human x chromosome. the patient
dedylja [7]
Duchenne muyscular dystrophy is caused by a mutation on the X chromosome, so a male gets it from his mother's X, if she is a carrier. The male child gets a Y and no X from his father, so the disease is always transmitted through the X from the mother. If a female gets Duchenne muscular dystrophy she has to have two X chromosomes, one from a carrier mother and another from from an affected father. This is virtually impossible because most males die before childbearing age and there is no way a female child can get an X from a man who does not live long enough to procreate. About eight percent of carrier women do show some muscle weakness, but they do not have the disease.
