Answer:

The answer should be a letter which is <u>t</u><u>.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Simplify 2/3t to 2t/3.

\frac{2t}{3}  \times 1 \frac{1}{2}

2) Convert 1 1/2 to improper fraction. Use this rule: a b/c = ac+b/c.

\frac{2t}{3}  \times  \frac{1  \times 2 + 1}{2}

3) Simplify 1 × 2 to 2.

\frac{2t}{3}  \times  \frac{2 + 1}{2}

4) Simplify 2 + 1 to 3.

\frac{2t}{3}  \times  \frac{3}{2}

5) Cancle 3.

2t \times  \frac{1}{2}

6) Cancle 2.

t

Ed is 7 years older than Ted. Ed’s age is also 3/4 times Ted’s age. How old are Ed and Ted?
svetlana [45]
Let Ted be x.

Ed is 7 years older =  x  + 7

Ed = (3/4)Ted

(x + 7) = (3/4)x

x + 7 = 3x/4

x - 3x/4 = -7

x/4 = -7

x = -28,           Ted = -28 years.

(x + 7) = -28 + 7 = -21,      Ed = -21 years

Goodness. We had negative numbers for the ages, well does that make sense?  No it doesn't.

Our answer is correct. But the sense in the question is lacking. The question has been wrongly set.

<span>We might assume negative ages to mean before they came into the world, before birth! </span>

Please help me with this
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

7. 5 \frac{5}{8} pizza

8. B

9. 11 \frac{1}{5} inches

10. -12

11. \frac{3}{20}

12. 4

Step-by-step explanation:

7. 3 \frac{1}{2} \\ + 2 \frac{1}{8}

make them mixed fractions: \frac{7}{2} + \frac{17}{8}

get a common denominator by multiplying \frac{7}{2} by 4: \frac{28}{8} + \frac{17}{8}

add the numerators: \frac{45}{8}

simplify the fraction by dividing 45 by 8: 5 \frac{5}{8}

8. 3 x 6 = 18

5 x 6 = 30

7 x 6 = 42

9 x 6 = 54

therefore, y = 6x

9. 5:7 is similar to 8:L

divide 8 by 5: 1 \frac{3}{5}

multiply 7 by 1 \frac{3}{5}: 11 \frac{1}{5}

L = 11 \frac{1}{5} inches

10. 5 - 2x = 29

subtract 5 from each side: -2x = 24

divide each side by -2: x = -12

11. fruit = 15%

15% = 15/100

simplify by dividing by 5: \frac{3}{20}

12. the y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis (the vertical one). the line crosses the y-axis at 4.
