Carmen rides her bicycle at a constant rate to the market. When she rides her bicycle back home along the same route, she bikes
lianna [129]
It can be easily assumed that most information's are already given in the question. Based on those information's, the answer can be deduced.

rt = [(3/4)r] * (t + 12)
4rt = 3r (t + 12)
4rt = 3rt + 36r
4rt - 3rt = 36r
rt = 36r
t = 36
From the above deduction we can conclude that the time taken by Carmen to ride to the market is 36 minutes
Then
Time taken by Carmen to ride home = 36 + 12 = 48 minutes

Tpy6a [65]

The correct answer is:

A single outlier causes the value of the median to move slightly toward the outlier.

Explanation:

Overall, outliers have very little effect on the median. However, they do affect it some.

If the outlier is a very large number, the median will slightly increase as compared to the data set without the outlier.

If the outlier is very small, the median will slightly decrease compared to the data set without the outlier.

In both instances, the median is moved slightly towards the outlier.

May someone help me with this question please
olga2289 [7]
First we find the mean (average)
(17 + 18 + 19 + 20 + 21) / 5 = 95/5 = 19

now subtract 19 from all values...then square it
17 - 19 = -2...-2^2 = 4
18 - 19 = -1...-1^2 = 1
19 - 19 = 0...0^2 = 0
20 - 19 = 1....1^2 = 1
21 - 19 = 2...2^2 = 4

now take the mean (average) of those
(4 + 1 + 0 + 1 + 4) / 5 = 10/5 = 2 <== this is ur variance

standard deviation is the square root of the variance...
sq rt 2 = 1.414

Solve step by step please
8 – 6 ∙ 4 + 10 ÷ 2 =
True [87]
Remember order of operations

PEMDAS which stands for

Parenthasees (or grouping symbols)

Exponents (square roots are also exponents, remmeber that)

Multiplication or Division, whichever comes first (remember, division is multiplication by a fraction

Addition or Subtraction, whichever comes first (subtraction is additon of a negative)

so

8-6*4+10/2=
no parenthases or exponents so multiply
-6*4=-24

we get
8-24+10/2
now divide
10/2=5

now we get
8-24+5
doesn't matter wha torder we do
-16+5
-11
