2/3 - Red

4/21 - Blue

Change the red fraction so both fractions will have the same denominator

2/3 change to 14/21

Add blue and red together

14/21 + 4/21 = 18/21

Then subtract it from the total to get the white beads

21/21 - 18/21 = 3/21

Simplify it to get 1/7

Ans : 1/7

Answer:

2/3= 14/21....red beads...4/21 blue beads...14+4= 18/21...so you need 3/21 more to finish the necklace and 3/21=1/7 in white beads

What is the maximum area for a rectangle whose perimeter is 48 meters?
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

12m²

Step-by-step explanation:

For a rectangle, with length L and width W,

the perimeter is given as

Perimeter,

P = (2 x Length)  + (2 x Width)

P = 2L + 2W

It is given that the perimeter is 48, hence

48 = 2L + 2W   (divide both sides by 2)

24 = L + W

or

L = 24 - W -----> eq 1

Also realize that the Area of a Rectangle is given by

A = L x W  -----> eq 2

Substituting eq 1 into eq 2,

A = (24 - W) x W

A = -W² + 24W

Recall that for a quadratic equation y = ax² + bx + c, the maxima or minima is given by y(max) =  -b/2a

In this case, b = 24 and a = -1

-b/2a = -24/[ 2(-1) ] = 12

Hence for A to be maximum A(max) = 12m² (Answer)

1) What is 20% of 20?<br> 2) what is 15 is what percent of 30?<br> 3) 50 is 50% of what?
N76 [4]

Hi there!

The word "of" is the same thing as a multiplication sign.

1)

20% = 0.2

0.2 × 20 = 4

2)

? × 30 = 15

divide each side of the equation by 30

? = 0.5

0.5 = 50%

3)

50% = 0.5

0.5 × ? = 50

divide each side of the equation by 0.5

? = 100

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

ANSWER

C. The left end goes up; the right end goes down.

EXPLANATION

The given function is

f(x) =  - 2( {x - 2)}^{5}

We analyze the end behavior of this function using the leading term.

The leading term of this function is:

- 2 {x}^{5}

Since the degree(5) is odd and the leading coefficient (-2) is negative, the graph rises on the left and falls on the right.

In other words, the left end of the graph goes up and the right end goes down.

The correct option is C.
