837 total

they sold 5/9 at normal price

5/9(837) = 4185/9 = 465 were sold at normal price

they sold 3/4 of the remaining ones.....remaining ones are : (837 - 465) =
372.....so they sold (3/4 * 372) = 1116/4 = 279 at a discount price

so after the discount ones were sold, they had (837 - 465 - 279) = 93 remaining

Can y’all help me with the 1st and 2nd one plz
kherson [118]

1. -1/5>-3/5 because we have like denominators we compare the inputs by the numerators.

2. 3/4 > 5/8 the least common denominator is: 8

Rewriting as equivalent fractions with the LCD:

                                   3/4 = 6/8    5/8 = 5/8

Comparing the numerators of the equivalent fractions we have:

                                   6/8 > 5/8

Find the Value of PT. PT=4x-6 and TQ=3x+4
barxatty [35]
We can find the value of PT from given information
PT = 4x - 6 and TQ = 3x + 4
if PT = TQ
4x - 6 = 3x + 4
4x - 3x = 4 + 6
x = 10
now put the value of x into PT = 4x - 6
PT = 4 (10) - 6
=40 - 6
PT = 34
The value of PT = 34

Can you think of three examples of real world parallel and/or perpendicular lines? Explain why they are important in the real-wo
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer: The road, crucifix/cross, sidewalks, railroads, and so much more.

Step-by-step explanation: Roads are parallel so that everyone can get to the same place in different lanes. This is important because lines that aren't parallel will inevitably meet, meaning that a highway would eventually merge its two lanes. This happens, but most of the highway is parallel. The same is true of sidewalks and railroads. The crucifix/cross is a Christian symbol, and while I'm not Christian, I'm sure it's important to a lot of people who are.
