Answer:

There are many factors such as your environment, lifestyle, and natural traits. For example, If you live in a city, your risk of a medical condition is higher than someone living in rural lands because you interact with a more polluted environment compared to the person living in rural lands. Lifestyle counts as your diet and exercise, age is also a factor as well. As one gets older the immunity system gets weaker as well as other organs making them more vulnerable to disease. Regular use of drugs also contributes to a higher chance of disease. On the other hand, exercise can help one stay fit and active, allowing them to have strong body systems. Disease can also be linked to genetics. When a genetic variation occurs, you either get the dominant gene or the recessive gene, so one might inherit a disease from family linked genetics. I also wanted to add that mutations can also cause disease. For example, sickle cell disease is caused by a mutation in the hemoglobin-Beta gene found on chromosome 11.

In light of its success in randomized studies, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved latanoprost as a once-daily eyedrop for the initial management of increased intraocular pressure associated with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It may be used separately or in conjunction with other agents.

Which of the following describes an abnormal condition where there is an increase in eye pressure?

butalik [34]

As a nurse working in a hospital and administering IV to a patient, the way to manually check to see if the patient is getting the right amount of medicine is simply by double-checking the label to determine the appropriate dose and to check the drip chamber.

A liquid drug, on the other hand, might be more difficult to administer since the dose must be measured by the person administering it. We recommend using an oral syringe rather than a household teaspoon to measure the amount.

How to resolve medical calculation involving proportion of

 • First Set up a known ratio
 • Set up a proportion with known and desired units. Use x for the quantity that is desired or unknown
 • Cross multiply
 • Solve for x

Solution:

= (120ml x 10gtt)/60min/hr

= 1200/60

= 20gtts/mins

So all that needs to be done is to ensure that the patient is getting 20 guttae (drops) per minute.
