Which model represents 3x+26=2(3+2x)
zalisa [80]

Answer:

x = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 26 = 2(3 + 2x)

~Simplify

3x + 26 = 6 + 4x

~Subtract 26 to both sides

3x = -20 + 4x

~Subtract 4x to both sides

-x = -20

~Divide -1 to both sides

x = 20

1. Debit cards and credit cards look the same. However, they work very differently. Which statement is true about debit cards?
evablogger [386]
1) A
2)D
3)D
4) Dunno

Here's the reason why I chose the answers as well.
1) When you have a debit card you are spending your OWN money. Therefor it's taken from the money if you have in your bank account.
2)Credit Cards are usually used when you don't have the cash at hand but have to pay it back.
3)The lower the credit score the worst it is.

natima [27]

Answer:

4.9 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we need to determine the height of the building using the following:

L^2 = H^2 + B^2

Where

H = Height of the building

L = Length of the first ladder = 20ft

B = Distance from the base of the building = 10ft

So, we have:

20^2 = H^2 + 10^2

400 = H^2 + 100

H^2 = 400 - 100

H^2 = 300

H = \sqrt{300

Next, is to determine the distance of the new ladder from the base of the building (B) using Pythagoras theorem using:

L_2^2 = H^2 + B_2^2

Where

L_2 = 18 --- Length of the second ladder

H = \sqrt{300 ----- Height of the building

So, we have:

18^2 = \sqrt{300}^2 + B_2^2

324 = 300 + B_2^2

B^2_2 = 324 - 300

B^2_2 = 24

Solving for B2, we have:

B_2 = \sqrt{24

B_2 = 4.9

Divide using synthetic division, and write a summary statement in fraction form. 2x^4-x^3-15x^2+3x/x+3
aev [14]
So... first off, we sort the dividend, the numerator, in descending order... so, looking at the exponents in this one, is already sorted in descending order, from 4 down to 1, so that's done.

then the divisor, we have x+3, that means x + 3 = 0, x = -3,
so, we'll be using -3 for the synthetic division then.

\bf \cfrac{2x^4-x^3-15x^2+3x}{x+3}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

\begin{array}{r|rrrrrrrrrl}
-3&&2&-1&-15&3\\
&&&-6&21&-18\\
--&&-&--&--&--\\
&&2&-7&6&\boxed{-15}&\leftarrow remainder
\end{array}

and now, we'll use those coefficients, dropping the exponents of the polynomial by one, and the remainder, remains as a fraction with the divisior of x+3.

\bf 2x^3-7x^2+6x-\frac{15}{x+3}
