Answer:

The oxygen enters the bloodstream from the alveoli, which are tiny sacs in the lungs where gas exchange takes place. The transfer of oxygen into the blood is through simple diffusion. While oxygen moves from the capillaries and into body cells, carbon dioxide moves from the cells into the capillaries and starts with high concentration but fades to low concentration.

OXYGEN TRANSPORT IN BLOOD CAPILLARIES. In the capillaries, oxygen is transported within red cells through the solution of hemoglobin, then through the cell membrane and the blood plasma. Since cells and plasma are in motion, both convection and diffusion (free and facilitated) may be important.

Mary is 14 years old. Her resting heart rate 70 beats per minute. Calculate 50% of Mary maximum heart rate to fine her target he
kozerog [31]

Answer:

Mary's target heart rate  is 103 beats per minute (bpm).

Explanation:

The maximum heart rate (MHR) is the rate at which the human heart of a given person reaches the highest demands. At rest, the heart rate is about 60 to 80 beats per minute.

MHR = 220 - age

So, for Mary: MHR = 220 - 14 = 206 beats per minute (bpm)

Now we can calculate Mary's target heart rate:

Target heart rate = MHR * 50% = 206 * 0.5 = 103  beats per minute (bpm)

Hope this helped!

PLEASE HELP! I have to get a cavity filled today for the first time!
bulgar [2K]

Answer:

Its not that bad.

Explanation:

I have had like 6 cavities filled, and its pretty straight forward. They start by putting numbing jelly (idk the real name), and then they drill off the rotten part of your tooth, then they fill it up with cement.

You won't really feel pain, but the numbness of your jaw will make you drool.

this is all my personal experience, but all patients and dentists are different. hope this helps!!
