The Truman Doctrine definitely represents the policy of containment. Containment is the idea that America wants to stop the spread of communism to other nations. America is fearful that if they fail to stop communism from spreading to one country, that it will lead to several countries becoming communist (known as the domino effect).
In order to stop the spread of communism, the US government tries to give financial assistance to countries that are susceptible to falling under Soviet control. Two of these countries in particular are Turkey and Greece (due to their geographical location near the Soviet Union). This is why President Harry Truman proposes $400 million worth of aid to these countries, so that they may stabilize their economy and become allies with the United States. This shows containment, as without these funds the countries could have very well been taken over by the Soviet Union and the system of communism.

The Treaty of Versailles was not a good peace treaty for the future. First of all it wasnt a real peace treaty , Germany didnt have any choice , Germany was forced to sign it . Germany loses 15% of its territory and its colonial empire . Then the army restrictions where very high as the german army couldnt produce aircraft , tanks and artilery and a limit of 100,000 men in the army was set . The war reparations that germany had to pay were too enormous 132 milliards goldmarks (money used by germany and it would be equal to 47 312,1 tons of gold) But only 20,6 milliards were payed because the economic situation in the Weimar's republic was disastrous .
The treaty made Germany poor and the unemployement rose , this treaty made it possible for hitler to raise to power as he promissed to restore the nation's pride and restore the economy and military might.

Since the meeting of Ally leaders in Casablanca they have discussed about new front in Europe that will relax Eastern front and will led to victory of Allied forces. That is why when the beaches of Normandy were attacked on July 6, 1944 Germans had to employ a lot of troops to defend the shores. Their defense was unsuccessful and with the victory of Anglo-American troops allies came one step to closer to ending the war.

After the Allied forced attacked Sicily it was more than obvious that war will have to spread to Western Europe. That is what Soviet also asked. There were several plans and the one to land in Normandy prevailed. Allies totally defeated German troops which eventually led to them winning the war.
