What similarities do the narrator’s perspectives most reveal? Select two options
frez [133]

Answer:

They both experience alienation in school.

They are both unsure about being told what to wear.

Explanation:

Both Does My Head Look Big in This? and Persepolis explore worlds of two young girls that are influenced by their religion - Islam and how people around perceive them.

Main character from Does My Head Look Big in This? is Amal who is living in Australia. She is very religious, but she does not feel comfortable wearing hijab outside her little Muslim community. Though she feels closely connected to God while wearing it, so she decides to wear it to school. She knew that there is tough time ahead of her as she now has to be accepted from all the people who get to see her and she knew that she would differ from all other girls in school and that she would be completely open for judging by anyone.

In Persepolis we have Marjane who is living in Iran in the 1980`s. Muslim community is strong there. Boys and girls go to separate schools and girls are forced to wear hijab. Her parents are social activists, kinda liberals, fighters for rights, so she has a really strong attitude against these forms of restrictions about woman role in society. So the final restriction was wearing a veil to the public, being fully covered in order not to attract any attention from men.

So for both girls, we can say that they were unsure about being told what to wear and they both experienced alienation at school. Though their situations differ as Amal free willingly wanted to wear hijab and Marjane was forced to.

Im stuck at home during the pandemic. I'm in 9th grade, and i procrastinate a lot, how can I stay focused during school if i get
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

You probably procrastinate because you are, or you think you are overwhelmed with a lot of work, right? This happens to me too. So, here are some tips on how to keep yourself on track:

Explanation:

1. When doing an assignment and you feel like quitting, you need to stand, walk away to another room, and take a five-minute breather. If you can't walk anywhere because you are at a desk at school, close your eyes, set your pencil down, and take steady breaths. After your brain has released some tension, go back to the assignment and begin to work again. This will help you get more work done since you won't give up so easily.

2. Another piece of advice to keep yourself from procrastination is to be sure of your surroundings. Distraction plays a huge role when not staying on task. So, if you are checking your phone while trying to complete an assignment, you should put your phone in another room OR place it somewhere out of sight. This technique will enhance your concentration on your work, as you will have nothing to distract you. If you have this problem with anything else other than your phone (such as students), do the same technique, even if it means moving your studies to a different location.

3. Work can be overwhelming; I know that. But, the more we procrastinate, the more work builds up. And the more work that builds up, the more procrastination. Make sense? To help you, the advice I would give is to do little sections of a class, and then move onto an entirely different subject, and do a little section of that, and then come back to the class you left and try to complete it again. That way your work will be less boring, and your brain will be less tense.

I hope this helps you! Sorry that this was a long read :))

Inessa05 [86]
One large factor to the quiet depression was the prices of crops bottomed out. This left many farmers almost penniless. With no money, people didn't purchase as much from farmers, causing even more problems.
