Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

F = (18, 0 )  as ( x1 , y1)

G = (16 , 10) as (x2, y2 )

mid = (x1+x2) / 2 ,( y1 + y2) / 2

mid = (18+16)/2 , (0+10)/2

mid = 34/2 , 10 /2

mid =( 17, 5)

Prove that (n+5)^2 - (n+3)^2 is a multiple of 4 for all positive integer values of n.
Drupady [299]

Answer:

(n+5)² - (n+3)² =

= (n² + 10n + 25) - (n² + 6n + 9)

= n² + 10n + 25 - n² - 6n - 9

= 4n + 16

= 4(n + 4) ⋮ 4

How to solve the question
Scorpion4ik [409]
You have the equations set up correctly. I will use r and b as the variables to make it easier to follow.

12r + 8b = 70
20r + 12b = 110

First let's solve one of the equations for one of the variables.

12r = 70 - 8b

r =  \frac{70-8b}{12}

Now plug that in for r in the second equation.

20( \frac{70-8b}{12})+12b = 110

Simplify

20(70-8b)+144b=1320

1400-160b+144b=1320

-16b = -80

b = 5 grams

Now plug 5 in for b in one of the original equations to find r.

12r + 8(5) = 70

12r  = 30

r = 2.5 grams

So the red marbles weigh 2.5 grams, and the blue marbles weigh 5 grams.

If a radius of a sphere is divided by 2, will the surface area be divided by 2?
olganol [36]
If r is the radius of a sphere its surface area = 4(pi)r^2.

If the radius is doubled then its surface area = 4(pi)(2r)^2 = 4*4(pi)r^2.

So the surface area becomes 4-fold or the increase in surface area is 300%.
