URGENT HEALTH NEEDS OF UNIVERSAL MODEL SCHOOL STUDENTS
It is with a great sense of concern that I write to you regarding important matters about the plight of students at Universal Model School.
Before the commencement of the first term of 2019/2020 academic year, we observed that the septic tanks around hostel B area were in need of urgent attention. We as students who reside in that hostel suggest that expert plumbers should be invited to take care of the situation. The hostel master has attempted to proffer certain temporary solutions to the problem but these have all proved abortive. It is our suggestion therefore that experts who are experienced in such work should be invited so that a lasting solution to this perennial problem can be found.
Secondly, it is a pitiable observation that a school as big as our does not have a functional sickbay. This has led to the death of few students within the short time I have been a student in this school. I implore you to use your good office to ensure the provision of a functional sickbay with resident medical personnel. This will go a long way in helping us to access medical help early in times of need and avoid unnecessary complications due to late medical attention.
