Answer:

C) close together and vibrating in place cross out

Explanation:

Solid, liquid and gas are the three types of matter. In solid, the molecules are tightly packed together. The intermolecular forces is very strong and the particles do not move from one place to another. The particles are so closely packed that they move at their own place and vibrate forth and back. The motion of the movement of the particle and its force are the two factors that help in determining the state of matter.

How to measure the volume of a baseball bat ( need answers ASAP )
vaieri [72.5K]

Measure the amount of water it displaces.

This won't be easy, because the bat floats in water. But I think you can get around that little problem like this:

-- Get some kind of a tank or tub that's big enough to hold the whole bat under water.

-- Get a heavy weight, like a big wrench or a small rock.

-- Fill the tub almost to the tippy top with water.

-- Slip the heavy weight into the tub, slowly. Some water will run over the top and out of the tub. That's OK ... it's exactly what you want. If NO water runs over the top, pour some more in, until it runs out and then stops. You want the tub full to the brimmy rim with the rock at the bottom of it.

-- Take the heavy weight out of the tub.

-- Now set the tub into a bigger tub or a deep pan. The next time it overflows and some water runs out of it, you'll need to catch that water and measure it.

-- Get a short piece of heavy string. Tie the heavy weight to somewhere near the middle of the bat.

-- Slowly slide the bat into the water, with the rock tied to it. The bat needs to go complete underwater.

-- Some more water will run over the top and out of the tub, and INTO the lower tub. Wait until the overflow stops and everything settles down again.

-- Take the bat (tied to the weight) out of the tub. Slowly and carefully, so that your hand or your arm doesn't make any MORE water run over and out.

-- Lift the upper tub out of the lower tub.

-- Take the lower tub, with the overflow water in it. Using a kitchen measuring cup, or a saucepan or a bottle, or anything else with liquid amounts marked on it, measure how much water overflowed into the lower tub.

THAT amount is the volume of the bat.

You may have to do some units conversions. Like if you need the volume of the bat in cm³ and you used measuring vessels marked in fluid ounces. But you can find all those conversion factors with a search on Floogle.

If the mass of an object is 35kg on venus what is its mass on the sun
REY [17]

Answer:

Venus is only 95% the size of Earth, and 81% of its mass. With the smaller size and mass, the force of gravity pulling you on the surface is lower. To get your weight on Venus, just multiply your current weight by 0.9. That's why 100 pounds becomes 90 pounds

U.S.A.

Dear Sir,

           APPRECIATION FOR THE ADMISSION OFFER IN YOUR SCHOOL

          I humbly write this letter to express my sincere appreciation for the offer of admission in your highly esteemed institution of learning. The admission letter states that I was admitted to pursue a programme in Computer Science and this is a source of great delight for me. The opportunity is a unique one because I stand a great chance of acquiring deeper knowledge of programming software that will prove invaluable to me in my future career.

         Over the years, I have been particularly thrilled with all the inventions that have been made possible with information technology and programming of many useful software. These inventions have made life a lot easier, hence my interest in getting the required knowledge that will enable me to contribute my quota to the society.

         This programme will also afford me the opportunity to relate with seasoned professionals in the field of Information Technology. When in contact with these professionals, I hope to ask them several questions on programming, the technicalities involved in it, and what is obtainable in the real-world scenario. Armed with these pieces of information, I believe that the programme will shape me to be an excellent professional that will be useful to the society.

         Once again, thank you for this very special opportunity. I hope to fully maximize the privilege.

Yours Sincerely,

Jessica Liam.

First consider a Carnot engine that operates between a hot reservoir at 58°C and a cold reservoir at -17°C. In running 24 minute
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given that,

Hot reservoir temperature is

TH = 58°C

TH = 58 + 273 = 331 K

Cold reservoir temperature

TC = -17°C

TC = -17°C + 273 = 256K

In 24minutes 590 J of heat was removed from hot reservoir

t = 24mins

t = 24 × 60 = 1440 seconds

Then,

Power is given as

P = E / t

P = 590 / 1440

P = 0.41 W

Since this removed from the hot reservoir, then, QH = 0.41W

We want to find heat expelled to the cold reservoir QX

Efficiency is given as

η = 1 - TH/TC = 1 - QH/QC

1 - TH/TC = 1 - QH/QC

TH/TC = QH/QC

Make QC subject of formula

QC = QH × TC / TH

QC = 0.41 × 256 / 331

QC = 0.317 W
