Answer:

Everglades is also called river of grass and is located in Florida. It is the habitat of thousands of species including plants, animals, and microorganisms. It also has approximately 70 different member of species which are in endangered list and it consist of approximately 11% of total wetland.

So everglade is important to protect the ecosystem and the species that live there. So if it would suffer a great drought than most of the species that were dependent on the wetland will go extinct due to habitat loss and it will also affect the economy and natural heritage of Florida adversely because of the environment loss.

I think it is because it's easier to "control". Like the books usually said that the nucleus is the control center of the nucleus, so if the nucleus located at the center or near center of the cell. So like easy contact, easy control, easy communication etc.
