P+ p(.08)= 51.84
p is the original price of the item
if you take 51.84 which is the total amount after taxes are added and divide it
by 1+tax you will get the original price
so if p + p(.08)=51.84 then 51.84/1.08= p
p =48
48+ 48(.08)=51.84

Which pair of triangles can be proven by the HL theorem
natulia [17]
Also known as the hypotenuse leg theorem. It states that if the hypotenuse and one leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and one leg of another right triangle, then the triangles are congruent.' This is kind of like the SAS, or side-angle-side postulate. Congruent triangles.

Calculate the (modeled) probability P(E) using the given information, assuming that all outcomes are equally likely.
Luba_88 [7]

The probability P(E) is 13/15.

According to the statement

we have given that the S = {1, 3, 5, 7, 9}, E = {1, 5, 7}

And we have to find the probability P(E).

So, For this purpose

Recall the formula for the probability of an event E in case when all outcomes are equally likely:

P(E)= n(E) /n(S)

in which S is the sample space.

But we have the S = {1, 3, 5, 7, 9},

so, n(S) = Sum of all outcomes / number of outcomes

n(S) = 1+3+5+7+9 /5

n(S) = 25 /5

n(S) = 5 and

For n(E) = Sum of all outcomes / number of outcomes

n(E) = 1+5+7 /3

n(E) = 13 /3

n(E) = 13 /3

Substitute these values in the above written formula then

P(E)= n(E) /n(S)

P(E)=  (13/3)/ 5

P(E)= 13 /15

So, The probability P(E) is 13/15.

You are graphing Square ABCDABCDA, B, C, D in the coordinate plane. The following are three of the vertices of the square: A(4,
Kitty [74]

Answer:

D(4,-3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given three of the vertices of the square: A(4, -7), B(8, -7),C(8, -3)

Let the coordinate of the fourth vertex be D(x,y).

We know that diagonals of a square are perpendicular bisector. So, the midpoint of both diagonals is the same.

The diagonals are BD and AC

Midpoint of BD = Midpoint of AC

\left(\dfrac{8+x}{2},\dfrac{-7+y}{2}\right) =\left(\dfrac{4+8}{2},\dfrac{-7+(-3)}{2}\right)\\ \left(\dfrac{8+x}{2},\dfrac{y-7}{2}\right) =\left(\dfrac{12}{2},\dfrac{-10}{2}\right)\\ \left(\dfrac{8+x}{2},\dfrac{y-7}{2}\right) =\left(6,-5\right)\\$Therefore$:\\\dfrac{8+x}{2}=6\\8+x=12\\x=12-8\\x=4\\$Similarly$\\\dfrac{y-7}{2}=-5\\y-7=-5*2\\y-7=-10\\y=-10+7=-3

The coordinates of the fourth vertex is D(4,-3)

Please help with this geometry math problem!
valina [46]

Answer:

∠8 * 4 = ∠7 ----------------(1)

∠8 + ∠7 = 180 ------------(2)

Taking the value of ∠7 from (1) and using it in (2):

<u><em>∠7 = 4 * ∠8</em></u>

<u><em /></u>

∠8 + ∠7 = 180

∠8 + (4 * ∠8) = 180

∠8 + 4∠8 = 180

5∠8 = 180

∠8 = 36° ---------------(3)

Using the value of ∠8 from (3) in (2):

∠8 + ∠7 = 180

36 + ∠7 = 180

∠7 = 144°       and       ∠8 = 36°
