Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

h(t)=-16t^2+96t\\\\h(t)=-t(16t-96)

96=2^5*3\\\\16=2^4\\\\h(t)=-t(2^5*3*t-2^4)=-2^4t(2^1*3*t-1)\\\\h(t)=-16t(6t-1)

the b) part is easy do it!

What is the value of x in the diagram below?
Furkat [3]
Hi,
The answer will be \frac{ 18\sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{3} } .

Now how is that, there is a rule for the right angled triangle which says:

cosθ = \frac{adjacent side}{hypotenuse} so, if we applied this rule on the lower triangle we can say: cos30°= \frac{9}{hypotenuse} and therefore the hypotenuse = \frac{9}{cos30} = \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } .

now in the upper triangle we will apply the same rule so,
cos45°=\frac{adjacent side}{hypotenuse}
and the adjacent side in the upper triangle is \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } and the hypotenuse is x.
so cos45°=\frac{( \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } )}{x} and then we can say
x=\frac{ \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} } }{cos45} = \frac{ 18\sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{3} } .

Find the selling price. Original price of the telescope: $99.99 Discount: 13%
iragen [17]
There is no discount stated but I'm assuming this problem is the same problem I encountered before.

Original price of the telescope is $99.99
Discount: 13%

$99.99 * 13% = 12.9987 or 13
$99.99 - 13 = $86.99 or $87

New selling price is $86.99 rounded up to the nearest unit $87.00
