Well, it depends. Sometimes you can accomplish things for yourself. It might not be satisfying for some people to get no praise, but at least you can tell yourself you did something great. It also depends on the accomplishment. You might think something is good, but other people may not like it. My answer is most likely no, because it depends on what you are accomplishing and it doesn't matter what people think of it, because, to you, it is an accomplishment. To other people, what you do might not be an accomplishment, but you sort of have to decide for yourself what is an accomplishment and what is not.
Anyway, I have a question. Is this for personal reasons, or for school?
The idea of heliocentrism, or the idea that the planets revolve around the sun, was harshly ridiculed and was considered heretical until the 16th century when Copernicus developed an irrefutable mathematical model that proved the fact, and started the Copernican revolution. I would argue that those who first discovered heliocentrism did in fact accomplish something because their discoveries went on to influence a person who could in fact make that idea mainstream in the scientific world. Copernicus likely would have never proved heliocentrism had scientists before him questioned the beliefs of the time.
Sodapop is happy-go-lucky, but caring and sensitive at the same time. He brings both Ponyboy and Darry together. He is almost like a unifying agent between the two brothers.
