The rapid depolarization phase
of myocardial contractile cells is due to the Na+ ions. Sodium ions are essential
for regulation of blood and body fluids, communication of nerve impulses, heart
activity, and metabolic purposes. Physiologically, it survives as an ion in the
body. Sodium is needed by
animals but is not needed by plants. The human prerequisite for sodium must be less
than 500 mg per day.
In the given food chain above, the organisms that has a maximum biomass is the grasshopper and the organism that has the least amount of energy from the sun is the hawk. The hawk receives the least amount of energy because according to this food chain, it is the hawk that is located on the last part of the food chain.
When in a certain situation, organisms with traits more suited to survive in that situation often survive more often and are able to reproduce more, which means that their genes eventually dominate the gene pool.
For example: take a light moth population and a dark moth population. They live in a forest with dark trees, so the dark moths blend in more and are harder to find and hunt. As a result, more of them survive than the light moths, so more of them are reproducing and passing their genes along.
Over time, those genes may become the only traits of that variety that the organism can have, so they grow to evolve and adapt to their surroundings.
So they can say the number quicker.
