Answer:

l = 9 inches and b = 6 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The perimeter of a rectangular price tag, P = 30 cm

The area of rectangular price tag, A = 54

We need to find the dimensions of the price tag.

The area of rectangle is given by :

A = lb

So,

54=lb ...(1)

The perimeter of a rectangle is given by :

P = 2(l+b)

So,

30=2(l+b)

15=(l+b) ...(2)

We need to solve equation (1) and (2) such that,

l = 9 inches and b = 6 inches.

A, C and E all work in the equations. In order for them to work, you must use the ordered pair in each of the three situations. Below is the work for all of the correct answers.

Ordered Pair A : (1, -1)
y < x + 1
-1 < 1 + 1
-1 < 1 (TRUE)

y < 4
-1 < 4 (TRUE)

x < 6
1 < 6 (TRUE)

Ordered Pair C : (4, 2)
y < x + 1
2 < 4 + 1
2 < 5 (TRUE)

y < 4
2 < 4 (TRUE)

x < 6
5 < 6 (TRUE)

Ordered Pair E : (4, -2)
y < x + 1
-2 < 4 + 1
-2 < 5 (TRUE)

y < 4
-2 < 4 (TRUE)

x < 6
4 < 6 (TRUE)

How do you solve and graph -82 is less than or equal to 9x OR -1 is less than or equal to -28
vovikov84 [41]
Since -1\nleq-28, you can eliminate this part.

So you're left with
-82\leq9x
⇒9x\geq-82
⇒x\geq-\frac{82}{9}

which is about -9.11111...

Find the exact roots of the polynomial; write the roots in simplest radical form, if necessary.
Liula [17]
I can see that 2 is a root but not 1?  So I tried -1 by substitution and that works.

So to work out the 3rd root we just use the sum and product of roots theorem.

We have the sum of the roots  = 11/7 and from there the third root is 4/7

If a circle has an arc with the measure of 60° and the length of the arc is 50 in, what is the
Crazy boy [7]

Answer: radius = 47.8 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

An arc is a portion of the circumference of the circle. The formula for determining the length of an arc is expressed as

Length of arc = θ/360 × 2πr

Where

θ represents the central angle.

r represents the radius of the circle.

π is a constant whose value is 3.14

From the information given,

θ = 60 degrees

Length of arc = 50 inches

Therefore,

50 = 60/360 × 2 × 3.14 × r

Cross multiplying by 360, it becomes

18000 = 376.8r

r = 18000/376.8

r = 47.8 inches
