Evaluate the impact of the following problem solving techniques: Delphi & Force-field analysis
tatuchka [14]

The estimate-talk-estimate approach (ETE), commonly known as the Delphi method, is a structured and qualitative method of forecasting that involves asking a group of experts a series of questions to elicit their thoughts. The Delphi method depends on experts who are educated about a certain subject in order for them to make predictions about the outcomes of hypothetical future scenarios, assess the possibility of an event, or come to an agreement on a given subject.

The Delphi method approach entails a number of rounds of written questionnaires that invite expert input. Following the completion of each set of questionnaires by the experts, the facilitator compiles all the responses and provides a summary report of the results to each expert. The experts next go over the summary report and decide whether they concur with the other experts' responses or not.

The experts then complete a second questionnaire that allows them to express updated perspectives based on what they have learned from the summary report. The estimate-talk-estimate approach (ETE), commonly known as the Delphi method, is a structured and qualitative method of forecasting that involves asking a group When a forecast consensus is reached, the Delphi process is finished.

How are Muslim supposed to treat slaves according to Islamic law
ratelena [41]

Answer: Well...I think this will help.

Slavery was common when Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) started preaching Islam. As Islam teaches equality of all human beings, the early converters to Islam were mostly the slaves and the poor. Islam does not like slavery.

But it was not possible in that society to announce it Haram. However, the Holy Prophet (SAW) commanded the Muslims to treat the slaves kindly, give them the same food which the master eats, don't be cruel to them, preferably set them free. Hazrat Zaid (rau) was a slave set free by Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). Hazrat Bilal (RAU) was also a slave bought and set free by Hazrat Abu Bakr (RAU). Both of them enjoyed more respect than many of the other Companions (RAU).

What did the railroad strike of 1877 and the homestead strike of 1892 have in common?
Fofino [41]

Answer:

The correct answer is Government troops helped put down both strikes

Explanation:

The fact that government troops had to be called in to end both strikes is perhaps one of the only commonality between both these incidents.

The Great Railroad Strike began on the 14th of July 1877 as the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad has reduced the wages of it's workers for three consecutive years.

The Strike started in Martinsburg but quickly spread to New York, Illinois, Maryland etc. After 45 days, the strike ended as local militias and government troops were brought in. At the end, over a 100 people lost their lives.

The Homestead Strike began in June 1892 when workers protested to the reduced wages being proposed by the Carnegie Steel Company in the town of Homestead. The strike was proposed by a Union and the manager of the steel plant was determined to end it. Eventually, the company hired detectives to protect the plant and an armed battle began.

Government troops were eventually called in and the strike was broken.
