Answer:
The first statement “The lines have different slopes” That’s the only true statement. In the equation y=2x-3 it tells us that the slope is 2, but in the other equation, it has no slope.

Reasoning behind the other statements:
It can’t be statement 2 because there is a solution. And the solution is (0,-3)

It can’t be statement 3 either because both equations DONT have the same slope, if they did, the graphs would be the same and will have infinite solutions. Also it says “different y-Intercepts” BUT they do have the same y- intercepts, and the y-intercept is -3

Now finally, the last statement isn’t true because like I mentioned earlier, the solution is (0,-3) NOT (-3,-9)

Solve for x. Triangles below are similar.

a) 13
b) 10
c) 4
d) 3
Reptile [31]

Answer:

the answer is 4 (option C)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the triangles are similar, and in triangle UTV both sides are equal, we can consider QTR also has two equal sides.

therefore, the equation forms:

13x + 3 = 55

13x = 55 - 3

13x = 52

x = 52/13

x = 4

How do you factor this in the form (x+b)(x+c)
faust18 [17]
So you have your polynomial. To factor this out, you need to find the factors of -45 that will add up to 3. These two factors would be -5 and 8. So, you have factored your polynomial! (x-5)(x+8). If you are still unsure, simply use the FOIL method to check and see if you get the same polynomial back. Hope this helps!

A cup has a circumference of 28 cm. Approximately what is the diameter?
Ainat [17]

Answer:

The diameter is approximately 8.9 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The circumference is given by

C = pi *d

28 = pi *d

Divide each side by pi

28/pi = d

We can approximate pi by 3.14

28 /3.14 =d

8.917 = d

The diameter is approximately 8.9 cm

Angle D has what measurement according to the protractor?
Aliun [14]

Answer:

B. 90^o

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given a protractor and we are asked to find the measure of angle D.

We can see from our given protractor that the measure of angle D is 90 degrees as the ray OD crosses our protractor at 90 degrees.

Therefore, the measure of angle D is 90 degrees and option B is the correct choice.
