At the beginning of the 1830s, nearly 125,000 Native Americans lived on millions of acres of land in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Florida–land their ancestors had occupied and cultivated for generations. By the end of the decade, very few natives remained anywhere in the southeastern United States. Working on behalf of white settlers who wanted to grow cotton on the Indians’ land, the federal government forced them to leave their homelands and walk hundreds of miles to a specially designated “Indian territory” across the Mississippi River. This difficult and sometimes deadly journey is known as the Trail of Tears. So yeah I think they deserve there land back. Have a good da!!

How is constitutional democracy used today?
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

The Constitution established a Federal democratic republic. It is the system of the Federal Government; it is democratic because the people govern themselves; and it is a republic because the Government's power is derived from its people.

A procedural constitution defines the legal and political structures of public institutions and sets out the legal limits of government power in order to protect democratic processes and fundamental human rights

While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic. The Constitution not only provides the framework for how the federal and state governments are structured, but also places significant limits on their powers.

Create a situation in which a Buddhist deals with a problem using an element from the Eightfold Path.
katovenus [111]

Answer:

Explanation:

A man, a Buddhist, is on his way home.  He's late. He knows his wife will be worried. He has no way of communicating with her. He does not want to waste time, but he does not want to worry needlessly either.

He must stoop fretting. He will be home soon enough. He must clear his mind of all thoughts but one -- that one being that he not fret lest there are two people fretting, neither accomplishing anything.

The meditates as he walks. He sees a butterfly heading towards a flower. He accepts the harmony of the butterfly and the flower.

He hurries home.

This uses 8 of the Eightfold Path.
