Answer:

Julius Caesar was a political and military genius who overthrew Rome's decaying political order and replaced it with a dictatorship. He triumphed in the Roman Civil War but was assassinated by those who believed that he was becoming too powerful. Julius Caesar began a civil war in Rome by defeating other members of the Triumvirate to become the dictator with total power. He fought Pompey, another Roman general, and defeated him. Later, Caesar fell in love with the Egyptian queen, Cleopatra, but was killed soon after.

Agricultural Revolution (begins in 18th c.)--Industrial Revolution (begins in late 18th c)--Urbanization--World population hits 1 billion (1804)--Flu Pandemic (1918)

Not sure if "dramatic population growth in developing countries" is a separate choice or part of the population hitting 1 billion. Population growth occurred through this whole time period but particularly after the Agricultural Revolution as it produced better food more cheaply. This boom would allow for more people to be available to work in industry as it develops.

The success or failure of the people was thought to be controlled by the gods, along with who should rule. If an emperor was no longer deemed acceptable, natural disasters or disastrous occurrences were taken, then, that the emperor no longer held the gods' approval. This was reason enough to overthrow or replace him.</span>
