Given:

In ΔWXY, x = 680 inches, w = 900 inches and ∠W=157°.

To find:

The all possible values of ∠X, to the nearest degree.

Solution:

Law of Sines:

\dfrac{a}{\sin A}=\dfrac{b}{\sin B}=\dfrac{c}{\sin C}

For ΔWXY,

\dfrac{w}{\sin W}=\dfrac{x}{\sin X}=\dfrac{y}{\sin Y}

Now,

\dfrac{w}{\sin W}=\dfrac{x}{\sin X}

\dfrac{900}{\sin (157^\circ)}=\dfrac{680}{\sin X}

900\sin X=680\sin (157^\circ)

\sin X=\dfrac{680}{900}\sin (157^\circ)

\sin X=0.295219

X=\sin^{-1}(0.295219)

X=17.17067

X\approx 17

Therefore, the value of ∠X is 17 degrees.

o-na [289]
1. You have that:
 -The <span>police car accelerates 60 meters per second.
 - The minivan has a speed of 45 meters per second and is 600 meters ahead of the police car at the beginning of the chase.
 2. Therefore, you have:
 V1xt=V2xt-600
 V1 is the speed of the minivan and V2 is the speed of the police car
 3. The time is:
 t=-600/V1-V2
 t=-600/(45-60)

At a school, 40% of the sixth-grade students said that hip-hop is their favorite kind of music. If 100 sixth-grade students pref
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

250 students

Step-by-step explanation:

Another way of saying this is:

40% of all six-grade students are 100 of them.

So,

40% of total is equal to 100

We can translate this into an algebraic equation and solve for the total number of students.

Let total number of students be "t"

Also, note "of" means "multiplication" and "is" means "equal"

Lets translate word equation to algebraic:

<em>"40% of total is equal to 100"</em>

40% * t = 100

Converting percentage to decimal by dividing by 100, we have:

40% = 40/100 = 0.4

Now, we have:

0.4 * t = 100

We can now solve for t:

0.4 * t = 100\\t=\frac{100}{0.4}\\t=250

Hence,

the total number of students is 250
