Answer:

40.5%  is abundance of X-122

Explanation:

we know there are two naturally occurring isotopes of X, X-120  and X-122.

First of all we will set the fraction for both isotopes

X for the isotopes having mass 122

1-x for isotopes having mass 12 0

The average atomic mass of X is 120.81 amu

we will use the following equation,

122x + 120 (1-x) = 120.81

122x + 120 - 120x = 120.81

122x- 120x = 120.81 -120

2x = 0.81

x= 0.81/2

x= 0.405

0.405 × 100 = 40.5%

40.5%  is abundance of X-122 because we solve the fraction x.

now we will calculate the abundance of X-120.

(1-x)

1 - 0.405 = 0.595

0.595  × 100 = 59.5 %

59.5 %  for X-120.

A sample of oxygen gas (O2) has a volume of 7.51 L at a temperature of 19°C and a pressure of 1.38 atm. Calculate the moles of O
Maslowich

Answer: 0.43molO₂

Explanation:

The ideal gas law for moles is n=\frac{PV}{RT}. If you did not know, R is the ideal gas constant, 0.0821\frac{L*atm}{mol*K}.

Since the temperature must be in Kelvin, we must convert our given temperature from ℃ to K. 19C+273=292K

Now that we have the temperature converted to Kelvin, we can plug in our information to the ideal gas law for the number of moles.

n=\frac{PV}{RT}

n=\frac{1.38atm*7.51L}{0.0821\frac{L*atm}{mol*K} *292K} =0.43molO_{2}

n=0.43molO_{2}

Therefore, the number of moles is 0.43molO₂.

I hope this helps! Pls mark brainliest!! :)

Many computer chips are manufactured from silicon, which occurs in nature as SiO2. When SiO2 is heated to melting, it reacts wit
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

A) SiO2 is the limiting reactant

B) Theoretical yield= 72333.3g

C) % yield =91.5%

Explanation:

SiO2(s) + 2C(s) --------------> Si(s) + 2CO(g)

n(SiO2)= 155000/60 = 2583.33 mols

n(C)= 79000/12= 3291.66 mols

a)SiO2 is the limiting reactant

According to the balanced reaction equation,

60g of SiO2 produced 28g of SiO2

155000g of SiO2 will produce 155000×28/60= 72333.3g

Therefore theoretical yield of Si= 72333.3g

% yield= 66200/72333.3×100/1 =91.5%

How does water’s high specific heat capacity affect large lakes?
soldi70 [24.7K]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

The water has higher specific heat capacity which affects the lakes largely in such way that the water in a lake changes temperature slowly.

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

Evaporation is a process of liquid changing its state to gaseous state at any temperature. Water has high specific heat due to the presence of strong hydrogen bonds. Due to which it requires heat in huge amount to raise the water (in large quantity) temperature.

Thus, the molecules will be unable to gain much kinetic energy that result in changing the temperature very slowly.
