Given:

Amount of flour in a bin = 30 cups

Flour required for each signature cake = 1\dfrac{1}{2} cups

To find:

The correct equation and graph for the given situation.

Solution:

Let F be the amount of flour in the bin and c be the number of signature cakes.

Flour required for each signature cake = 1\dfrac{1}{2} cups

Flour required for each signature cake = 1.5 cups

Flour required for c signature cakes = 1.5c cups

Amount of flour in a bin is 30 cups and it is reduced by 1.5c cups. So, the amount of flour in the bin is:

F=30-1.5c

At c=0, we get

F=30-1.5(0)

F=30

At F=0, we get

0=30-1.5c

1.5c=30

c=\dfrac{30}{1.5}

c=20

Therefore, the required equation is F=30-1.5c and the 4th graph is correct.

Will side lengths of 3 cm, 4 cm, and 5 cm form a triangle? explain.
Gelneren [198K]

Yes, that is the famous first Pythagorean triplet: 3²+4²=5²

or

For three lengths to be able to form a triangle, it suffices that every one of those lengths is shorter than the sum and longer than the difference of the other two.

It is enough to check just one side.

So,

3 + 4 > 5

4 - 3 < 5

Your triangle is constructible.

5 ÷ x for x = 1/3 solve
WARRIOR [948]
So if x is equal to 1/3, then our equation would be 5/(1/3). When dividing by a fraction, you can multiply by the reciprocal to find the answer, meaning that if you divide by 1/3, you can multiply by 3/1. So your answer would be 15.
5/(1/3)=x
5*3=x
15=x

Of two consecutive integers, four times the smaller is 30 more than three times the larger. Find both integers,
WITCHER [35]

Answer:

33 and 34

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the integers be x and x+1 respectively.

4x = 3(x+1) + 30

x = 33

therefore, the integers are 33 and 34
