Field research refers to a form of research which data is accumulated from other places outside our work-room or laboratories. What considered as 'outside' places would be varied depending on the discipline that being studied. For social studies, environment outside the place where the researchers accustomed to would be considered as outside environment.
A democratic structure in a society will ensure that all citizens of that society have a role and say in the government. When a democratic structure is in place, all citizens of a society should have equal input in the way a <span>run and who the elected leaders are.</span>
This is an example of degradation ceremony.
The group has gathered to decide what they want to do with the individual. They decide that he or she is not worthy of being a member anymore, which means that they are degrading his rank within the group (or in this case, expelling him or her).
The term was coined by sociologist Harold Garfinkel in 1956 in his essay <span>"Conditions of Successful Degradation Ceremonies."</span>
