The period of an function, is how many times it takes to complete one cycle, if the period is 2π then after 2π the function would have been completed one entire cycle, but what I mean by cycle?

It's when the function start again, these functions are called periodic functions for a reason, after between that interval, the function goes up, goes to 0 again, go down and finally goes zero again, it means a cycle! the function goes up, down and then return to the same point.

If you look at the picture, the function took 2π just to go up and zero, it needs more 2π to go down and return to zero, then it's period is 4π.

The bottom function complete its cycle in just π!

I hope you liked it, maybe the draw will help you!

Any doubt? just write in the comment and I'll help you.

the length of a rectangle is equal to triple the width . if the perimeter is 8 centimeters .what is the length and the width of
madam [21]

Answer:

Length = 3 cm

Width = 1 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of rectangle be l and width of rectangle be w.

According to problem,

l = 3w  {Length of rectangle is equal to triple the width}

And Perimeter,P = 8 cm

Since, P = 2 ( l + w )

or 8 = 2( l + w)

Plug l =3w in the above perimeter equation.

We get:

8 = 2( 3w + w)

8 = 2(4w)

8 = 8w

or    w = 1 cm

Then length ,l = 3w =3 * 1 = 3 cm

Hence length of rectangle is 3cm and width of rectangle is 1cm.

Help plzzzzz.............
ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

a) 3 b) y = 3x + 11

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

In order to find the gradient (slope), find the change in y or change in x (rise/run).

-2 - 2 / 7 - (-5)

-2 - 2 / 7 + 5

-4/12 = -1/3

Now that we know the gradient of line AB is -1/3, take the opposite reciprocal of that to find the gradient perpendicular to line AB.

-1/3 ⇒ 3

b)

Take point C's values and the perpendicular gradient found earlier and substitute them into the point-slope form equation.

y - 5 = 3(x - (-2))

y - 5 = 3(x + 2)

y - 5 = 3x + 6

y = 3x + 11
