Demography is the study of human populations, in reference to size, quantities, diversity, location and distribution among the planet. Demographers look at statistics such as birth and death rates.
When you divide, and you the number does not fit perfectly into another, you will count how much it did not fit, and it shall be called the remainder.
Example: 10 divided by 206
206/10
10 can go into 206 only 20 WHOLE times, and their are 6 numbers left.
20*10 = 200
206 - 200 = 6
