У = 3х - 2<br> 4х – 4у = -8
Lelechka [254]
For this equation I would assume you use substitution, you plug in what y equals (3x -2), for the y in the second equation (4x - 4y = 8), you now have 4x - 4(3x-2) = -8 you then proceed to factor out this equation, you distribute the -4 and now you have 4x -12x + 8 = -8 you then subtract the -12x from the 4x and the result is -8x + 8 = -8, you then proceed to isolate the x subtracting the 8 from both sides and you now have -8x =-16 you then isolate the x by dividing -8 from both sides, your results are x = 2, you answer isn’t negative 2 because when you divide two negatives they cancel out creating a positive number.

Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

A. Inside the circle

Step-by-step explanation:

K(0, 0), U (6, - 4), V (\sqrt 2,\: 7)

In order to determine whether point V lie inside, outside or on the circle, first we will find the distances between points K & U and then K & V.

KU would be radius of the circle.

  • If KV is smaller than KU, then V will lie inside.
  • If KV is larger than KU, then V will lie outside
  • And If KV = KU, then V will lie ion the circle.

d(KU) = \sqrt{ {(6 - 0)}^{2} + {( - 4 - 0)}^{2} } \\ = \sqrt{ {6}^{2} + {( - 4)}^{2} } \\ = \sqrt{36 + 16} \\ \red{ \bold{ d(KU)= \sqrt{52} }} \\ \\ d(KV) = \sqrt{ {( \sqrt{2} - 0)}^{2} + {( 7 - 0)}^{2} } \\ = \sqrt{ {( \sqrt{2)} }^{2} + {(7)}^{2} } \\ = \sqrt{2 + 49} \\ \purple{ \bold{ d(KV)= \sqrt{51} }} \\ \\ \because \: d(KU) > d(KV) \\

Hence point V lie inside of the circle.

After solving basic arithmetic, The correct option is A. 7366.10, Yes, we have saved enough money to visit Spain in august.

<h3>What is arithmetic?</h3>

Mathematics' arithmetic discipline focuses on the study and application of numbers, their relationships, and observations on them.

The word "arithmetic," which is derived from the Greek word "arithmos," or "number," generally refers to the fundamental concepts in number theory, measurement, and computation (that is, the processes of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, raising to powers, and extraction of roots).

However, how it has been applied mathematically has not always been consistent. Carl Friedrich Gauss, a renowned German mathematician, first used the term to refer to more complex topics in his Disquisitiones Arithmeticae (1801), and other mathematicians still use it today.

Referrals to the article number theory are made to readers who are interested in the latter.

Our monthly gross salary is $2770.22

So our semi-monthly salary = 2770.22/2

                                             = 1385.11

Social security payment = 6.2% × 1385.11

                                         = $85.87

                                         =  171.74

Medicare payment = 1.45%  × 1385.11

                                = $20.08

=                                   = 40 .16

Monthly expenses = $1200

State tax semi monthly = $52

State tax Monthly = $104

Federal tax semi monthly = $101

Federal tax monthly  = $202

Adding all these monthly expense we get a total of

171.74 + 40 .16 + 1200 + 104 + 202

=  1717.9

His saving every month = 2770.22 - 1717.9

                                        = 1052.32

Salary saved in 7 months = 1052.30 × 7

                                           = 7366.10

Thus, The correct option is A. 7366.10, Yes, we have saved enough money to visit Spain in august.
